Free Thanksgiving Pilgrim Crafts for Preschoolers
I’m so excited to share these new pilgrim crafts for preschoolers with you! They’re one of my favorite Thanksgiving craft ideas to do with preschoolers because they make it easy to teach kids about the very first Thanksgiving.
A thematic unit all about the first Thanksgiving is a great opportunity to teach preschoolers about history, geography, and more! These free printable pilgrim crafts make the lesson fun and help your kids retain all the cool things they’re learning about the early settlers.

Celebrate with The First Thanksgiving Story
This November, think about introducing the story of the first Thanksgiving to your preschoolers. There are lots of great books to help you teach the specifics.
I’m really fond of The Very First Thanksgiving Day by Rhonda Gowler Greene. My preschoolers love the beautiful pictures in this book. Another fun read is Thank You Sara: The Woman Who Saved Thanksgiving by Laurie Halse Anderson about how Sarah Hale worked to make Thanksgiving Day a national holiday.
As you read about the first Thanksgiving, focus on cultivating an attitude of gratefulness with your preschoolers. The pilgrims were so grateful for the food and friendship that helped them survive that first winter.
We can encourage our preschoolers to be grateful for their blessings this Thanksgiving too with my free and easy thankful craft idea.
