Reindeer are magical creatures and they definitely need their strength if they are going to pull Santa’s sleigh from house to house around the world.
This reindeer food recipe will ensure that Santa’s reindeer will be well fed when they stop at your house with St Nick. Just sprinkle a little in your yard for them to nibble on to add a little extra magic to Christmas Eve night with your kids.

Now you may be asking yourself, can I put glitter in reindeer food? I know it’s tempting to make the reindeer food sparkle, but I do not suggest using real glitter or sequins.
Since this holiday mixture will be left outside, the glitter could cause stomach problems if live animals eat it. If you’d like the look of glitter, here’s a safe and edible option from Amazon.

Cut the top off a Ziplock bag. Then add in one cup of oatmeal and some sugar or festive sprinkles.

Next, take the pipe cleaner and wrap it around the top to seal the bag.
