Spring is the perfect season to embrace hands-on learning with your preschool and kindergarten students. During the spring months, we’re all focused on reaching the end of the school year. Teachers and parents are searching for easy activities to keep learning going that don’t require lots of preparation.
Relying on printables can make teaching easier, especially at this time of year. But what about hands-on learning? We know that hands-on learning has tons of benefits for our students including increasing student engagement and retention.
Hands-on learning activities help kids practice problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Diving in with both hands makes learning tangible and gives kids a chance to build social skills as they get motivated and excited about learning. So, how can we increase hands-on learning during the spring months without adding lots of prep time for ourselves?
