How to make a Santa Beard Countdown Calendar

You may be wondering how do you make a Santa beard countdown calendar. My low prep, free Santa template takes all the guess work out for you.

Before you know it, you will be counting down the days til Christmas in building upon your students fine motor skills. Here’s the step by step guide to creating a calendar for Christmas day countdown.

Step One: Print

Click the link below to grab the free Christmas day countdown craft for a low prep cut and paste Christmas craft for preschoolers and toddlers. Print the free Santa craft on colored construction paper or use crayons to color it yourself.

We used traditional red and white for Santa’s suit, but feel free to get creative and use whatever color you want. As for skin color, I find that this set of construction paper has plenty of options on different shades for your Santa craft.

Step Two: Cut

When you’re done printing, grab your scissors because it’s now time to practice scissor skills. Cutting is such an important skill for this young age group, so try to let them do this part themselves, if possible.

It helps to strengthen their fine motor skills and helps to make each winter holiday craft look unique.

Step Three: assemble

You’ll love that this Santa beard craft is not just festive, it’s another learning opportunity to teach numbers this Winter. As you identify each number 1-25, simply cover it up with a dab of glue and a cotton ball.
